Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version
The web pre-order version of Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version was postponed to a undetermined timeframe previously, but thankfully, GSC has posted a little update about it.
Well, the Nendoroid is now re-scheduled to late August 2012 release. An arguably vague timeframe indeed, but they promised to keep the customer informed when their Snow Miku is ready to ship.
While you are waiting, let me give you a mix-match idea: XD

Well, what do you think about the news, Nendonesian? Have you been eagerly waiting for the snow fairy? ^^

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version
Yes, Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version was initially scheduled to start shipping today, June 29. However, it appears that GSC has sent out an email of apology and announcement about shipping delay of this Nendoroid to all of its customers. There are some problems discovered during the last inspection before the shipment, and as a result, it is delayed indefinitely.
Here is the email sent out by GSC:
Following items on June 25 will inform you as the day was scheduled to ship product orders
“WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! 15” Web is inopportune has been discovered in some of the products in the inspection.
We decided to postpone the shipment.
GOOD SMILE COMPANY「Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat Ver.」
Regarding the situation is expected shipping date and we will contact you as soon as can be found at our Web site.
To customers who look forward to this product that you apologize sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
My best regards humbly as you can for patronizing our products in the future.
I wonder how the problems come up when they have already released it without any issues at the last Winter WonFes. XD
Well, what do you think about it, Nendonesian? XD
The voting result
The final design for Nendoroid Snow Miku: 2013 version design contest has been announced. As you can see in the pic above, among the four finalists, the winner is the 4th one:
Design Finalist #4 for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013
IMHO, hoodie + white mage-like costume + unique hairstyle for Miku = WIN. I cannot wait to see how the real Nendoroid would look like later on. ^^
Well, what do you think about the voting result, Nendonesian? Do you think the winner deserve it or there is other design(s) caught your attention even more? XD
Note: My favorite design didn’t even make it to the top 4, but I am still happy with the vote result. XD

Nendoroid Kuroneko – bootleg (left) vs genuine (right)
Earlier yesterday, GSC posted several new articles to update their bootleg Nendoroid list.
The first one is Nendoroid Kuroneko, which is compared to its counterfeit version. According to GSC, here are a few points to notice:
- Face parts: cheek
- Body: frill colors
- Body parts: joint
- Hair parts: inside
See the 2nd and 3rd bootleg comparison after the break.
Nendoroid Snow Miku: Blue Parfait Style
Since its announcement a few weeks ago, some creative folks have started submitting their design to PIAPRO in order to participate for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 Design Contest.
Among the current 200+ submissions, Blue Parfait Style is my fave entry so far, personally. It features twirl twintails, a beautiful maid dress (+ cap), as well as a tea set as additional accessories. The design has such a classic European feel, which is one of my favorite theme. ^^
Well, which one is your favorite entry, Nendonesian? Kindly see all the entries by visiting the source link below. XD
Costume design contest for Snow Miku 2013
Similar to last year, GSC and PIAPRO set up a Costume Design Contest for Nendoroid Snow Miku: 2013 version.
While the theme for last year’s costume was jewellery and crystal, this year’s emphasize is sweeteries, such as cakes, candies, and tarts. Obviously, since this is a design for SNOW Miku, those sweeties should have a snow or ice theme embedded into the design.
The contest has started since yesterday, and the deadline has not been announced yet. If you are interested to participate, you might want to see further details on the source links below.

Meanwhile, Mikatan also announced Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012 Photo Re-touch Contest, in collaboration with Piapro. The best “photo retouch” will be displayed along with the Nendoroid itself in the Sapporo Snow Festival, which will be held starting February 6th until 12th. The submission deadline is January 5th, 17:00 (JST). See the source pages below for further info regarding the contest (in Japanese, unfortunately). XD
