Nendoroid Fang Lin Yin is Spotted

Nendoroid Fang Lin Yin

It seems that Phat Company is ready to continue their Nendoroid line up from IS: Infinite Stratos, as an uncolored prototype of Nendoroid Fang Lin Yin was spotted a few days ago. I guess she will be joining Shinonono Houki and Cecilia Alcott pretty soon.

Seeing the order of the Nendoroid’s announcements, we can’t help but wonder if Phat is aligning the Nendoroids’ release order as the characters’ order of appearances in the anime. So … is it Charlotte’s turn next? XD

Yes, Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e has been announced and available for pre-order starting today. So what’s missing? A preview by Mikatan, of course! XD

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e is Announced and Ready for Pre-Order

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e

The Nendoroid design for Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e was initially displayed months ago. Fast-forward to today and she is finally announced and available for pre-order!

The Vocaloid who is rapidly gaining popularity – Lily!
Lily, the Vocaloid character who is becoming more and more popular by the day, is joining the Nendoroid series!

She comes with optional parts including a microphone and speaker, which allow you to recreate the pose on the ‘VOCALOID2 Lily’ packaging! She also comes with a singing expression to pose her singing out loud, as well as an expression from ‘Harii’ the fan-made bee character based off Lily!

This cute and cool-looking Nendoroid will be manufactured by Phat Company, priced at 3500 Yen and scheduled for March 2013 release – I doubt they could release it in time though, considering their track record. XD

I am glad that GSC has finally shifted to make more Vocaloid character – especially non-Crypton characters – into Nendoroid, starting with Gakupo, GUMI, and now Lily from anim.o.v.e.

Needless to say, I am putting this Nendoroid into my wishlist. What about you, Nendonesian? What do you think about this Nendoroid? ^^

Who is Involved in a Nendoroid Release?

Nendoroid for sale at a figure store

Various Nendoroid for sale at a figure store

Note: The topic is originally asked by Lexis from nendOtaku, a Germany-based Nendoroid blog.

If you have been collecting Nendoroid for a while, then you might have noticed that some Nendoroid boxes have another logo(s) beside Good Smile Company (GSC). They can be Max Factory, Phat Company, FREEing, or any other companies’ logo. So … who are they? Isn’t GSC the only one who make Nendoroid?

Well, in order to answer that questions, I am going to write about the parties involved for a Nendoroid release. Note that the explanation is based on my own, personal view. Therefore, it might be inaccurate in some ways or the other, but it should, hopefully, give you a bit of insight into the matter. ^^

Are you ready? Let’s get started! XD

Nendoroid Azuki Miho with the arms parts in issue

According to the release schedule, Phat Company‘s Nendoroid Azuki Miho (Bakuman) should already be popping up at the figure stores as well as on her way to your desk by now.

Following up on that, Phat has just posted a quick notice regarding how we install Miho’s connecting arms part – as seen in the pic above.

Well, it seems that Phat forgot to print this instruction in the manual paper included in Nendoroid Azuki Miho‘s box, so they also mentioned their apology in the post. XD

Nendoroid Info in Latest Hobby Magazine Scans (May 2012)

The magazine scan

The magazine scan

After Nendoroid Annelotte (Queen’s Blade Rebellion) went for pre-order last month, the usual “how will the 2P version look like?” thought crossed on my mind.

Thankfully, I don’t have to wait long, as Nendoroid Annelotte: Dark Knight version made her debut in this month’s Dengeki Hobby Magazine. Interestingly, she does not bear the 2P version remarks that have been the case with the previous alternative versions of Nendoroid from Queen’s Blade. XD

*ahem* I have to say that she looks really gorgeous with those red eyes, elven’s ears, and a glittering golden equipments. I’m totally sold, FREEing, good job! ^^

Anyway, it seems that she will be available as a limited and exclusive product, as usual, with a price of 3500 Yen. The evil-looking lady will be released sometimes this year.

Meanwhile, Phat Company‘s Nendoroid Gertrud Barkhorn from Strike Witches series gets another highlight in the magazine scan. This time, she brings along her Striker unit and shares a few new poses with us.

(Un)surprisingly, she is still uncolored, eventhough it is already more than a year since the first time we saw her. At least she got a release schedule, albeit a little vague: Autumn 2012. XD

Note: Oh, and while we’re at it, how are our Disgaea duo (Flonne and Etna) doing there, Phat-san? Hopefully you don’t plan to cancel abandon forget them, because some of us have been patiently waiting since you showed them to us last year. XD

Well then, what do you think about it, Nendonesian? ^^

Phat Company has just pulled the curtain off the upcoming Nendoroid Sanada Yukimura‘s packaging, along with his arch-rival Nendoroid Date Masamune. XD

As expected, the box’s color theme is pretty much similar to Yukimura’s red outfit. ^^

Anyway, Nendoroid Sanada Yukimura is scheduled for release in a few days.
