Who is Involved in a Nendoroid Release?

If you have been collecting Nendoroid for a while, then you might have noticed that some Nendoroid boxes have another logo(s) beside Good Smile Company (GSC). They can be Max Factory, Phat Company, FREEing, or any other companies’ logo. So … who are they? Isn’t GSC the only one who make Nendoroid?

Well, in order to answer that questions, I am going to write about the parties involved for a Nendoroid release. Note that the explanation is based on my own, personal view. Therefore, it might be inaccurate in some ways or the other, but it should, hopefully, give you a bit of insight into the matter. ^^

Nendoroid Tachibana Hibiki is Previewed by Mikatan

Nendoroid Tachibana Hibiki

Nendoroid Tachibana Hibiki from Senki Zesshou Symphogear has been featuring several times previously – in fully-colored prototype, no less. Naturally, it means that she is going to be available for pre-order soon.

As usual, Mikatan took her time to play with this upcoming Nendoroid from Max Factory before it goes available for reservation tomorrow. XD

Hibiki brings along three expressions: smiling, battle, and berserk (frenzy) face. She also comes with her aerial unit, her sword (Durandal), her opponent (The Noise), as well as some effect parts to recreate the battle scene.

Nendoroid Taneshima Popura and Date Masamune has been Released

Yep, we are having a double Nendoroid release today. The first one is Max Factory‘s Nendoroid Taneshima Popura from WORKING!!. Popura will be the first staff to join Wagnaria, but it seems that she has to wait, because the family restaurant will not be finished until next month. XD

Meanwhile, Phat Company has also let loose of their re-sale edition of Nendoroid Date Masamune from Sengoku BASARA series. As we have known, he will come with a revised stand base, which is supposedly much better than the old one. Don’t forget that Nendoroid Sanada Yukimura is also looking to join shortly. XD

Nendoroid Ika Musume and Jack Frost are Available for Pre-Order

Nendoroid Ika Musume

So you have been waiting for years to see the official announcement of Nendoroid Ika Musume and Nendoroid Jack Frost? Well, your wait is finally over as these two have been available for pre-order starting today.

Nendoroid Ika Musume will bring along three expressions: smiling face, confident face, and crying face. Other accessories including an umbrella, beer mugs, prawn fried rice, as well as two bendable tentacles that can be swapped with the standard tentacles. Here is her official description:

Time to invade the Nendoroid world ~de geso!
From the anime series, “Shinryaku! Ika Musume” comes a Nendoroid of the invader from the sea herself – Ika Musume! She comes with a standard smiling face, a confident expression to proclaim her invasion plans, and a crying face for when those plans inevitably fail.

She also comes with a variety of optional extras from the series, including the umbrella she named ‘Ika #1’, as well as two bendable tentacles that can be swapped out with the standard tentacles. She also comes with beer mugs and prawn fried rice which can be held using the bendable tentacles, allowing you to pose her hard at work as a waitress at the Lemon beach house!

She will be manufactured by Phat Company and priced at 3800 Yen. She is scheduled for July release.

Nendoroid Jack Frost

After being teased initially at the last year’s WonFes, Nendoroid Jack Frost is finally up for pre-order. Yep, the famous icon from Shin Megami Tensei series will come with a fragment of ice to recreate the scene when he was casting an ice magic. He also brings along a set of additional legs to pose him in sitting position. Adorable! ^^

Anyway, here is the description from his official page:

Hee-ho! I’m sure we’ll make a great team!
From the game, ‘Shin Megami Tensei’ comes a Nendoroid of the lovable ice spirit, Jack Frost.

He comes with a variety of optional parts including a fragment of ice that he can create using his magic, as well as a separate set of arms to pose him using the magic. He also comes with an additional set of legs that allow you to pose him sitting down. Keep the adorable Jack Frost by your side to cool off whenever you need!

Max Factory‘s Nendoroid Jack Frost is scheduled for June release and priced at 3200 Yen.

The third Nendoroid from WORKING!! to join Popura and Mahiru in Wagnaria has finally gotten a preview photo session treatment by Mikatan. Yes, now you can see a couple photos of Max Factory‘s Nendoroid Yamada Aoi in action, inside Wagnaria playset – including the frequent scene when she breaks stuff. XD

Nendoroid Info in Latest Hobby Magazine Scans (February 2012)

Nendoroid Yamada Aoi and Ika-musume

Nendoroid Yamada Aoi from WORKING!! made her magazine debut last month, and now she re-appears in fully-colored fashion, as seen in the post-WonFes NicoNico broadcast. Nothing new here, except for the availability info – she will be released on July with the standard Max Factory pricing of 3800 Yen.

Meanwhile, the long awaited Nendoroid Ika Musume is now shown in various pose and expressions. The good news is she will be available as standard release, scheduled for July release with a price tag of 3500 Yen. ^^

I have a feeling that Ika-chan and Yamada-chan will be announced on Mikatan’s blog soon. ^^

Nendoroid Saber: Casual Clothes version

The super movable Nendoroid Saber: Casual Clothes version from TYPE-MOON‘s Fate series made her first appearance in the magazine scan. We have seen a couple of her pose in the post-WonFes broadcast, and it seems that she will also be compatible with parts from Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition. No release date is mentioned there, but she will be priced at 5000 Yen that makes her the most expensive standard Nendoroid to-date.

Nendonesia Special Gathering at BIJAC no Matsuri

I have been very busy this weekend as I was attending Nendonesia Special Gathering at BIJAC no Tanjoiwai, which was held earlier today. I might post up a report of this event later (… and I still have last month’s gatherings report to post as well XD).

Anyway, Mikatan (GSC) and 2Tohei (Max Factory) has posted some teasers of new Nendoroid which are supposedly to be appearing ~~tomorrow~~ later at the Winter Wonder Festival 2012. Kindly skip past the break to view the teaser.

The androphobia girl from WORKING!! finally received the preview photo session treatment by Mikatan. Yep, Max Factory‘s Nendoroid Inami Mahiru are being put in the spotlight today to ~~punch us male customers~~ show what she brings along in her Nendoroid package. We have already seen most of her parts and accessories, thanks to last month’s magazine scan: three expressions, “Magic Hand” tool, as well as a few effect parts and hands to re-create the epic punching scene from the manga/anime. XD

Nendoroid Inami Mahiru will be available for pre-order starting February 9th, so in the meantime, kindly visit Mikatan’s blog to view more pics of this ~~violent~~ shy girl. XD

Yamada Aoi and Inami Mahiru

It looks like the official announcement and pre-order availability for Nendoroid Inami Mahiru from WORKING!! will be carried out shortly, as a complete set of her pose as well as her expressions, parts, accessories are being displayed in the latest hobby magazine scan. Aside from the handpincher tool, various effect parts for her ~~violence~~ androphobia smacking are also included in the pack to recreate scenes from the manga/anime. Anyway, she will be available on May with the usual Max-Factory-esque price tag of 3800 Yen. ^^

Meanwhile, it looks like Nendoroid Yamada Aoi will be the third Wagnaria staff to serve the Nendoroid realm, joining her seniors Popura and Inami. The lovely Yamada will come with at least three expressions there, along with the broken plate – for her clumsiness. She will be available on June with no pricing info being announced yet.

Nendoroid Princess of the Crystal

Well, what do we have here? Some prototypes and design of upcoming Nendoroid are being shown today at the Comiket 81. First, we got Nendoroid ~~Takakura Himari~~ Princess of the Crystal from the famous anime series Mawaru Penguindrum – I have been expecting it for a while XD I am glad that GSC choose this over Takakura Himari on her normal outfit. ^^ *adding her into my watchlist*
