The ToyzMania is an annual event focusing on figures, model kits, statues and pretty much any collectible stuff that are classified as … “toys”. As the event name read, the 5th ToyzMania 2012 is the fifth ToyzMania, bringing all stakeholders in the toys industry at Indonesia: the distributors, retailers, fans, as well as the collectors.
Nendonesia was invited to participate in the event, and … there we went to setup our Nendoroid showcase, similar to what we did in the AFAID 2012. XD
The admins in-charge of our booth in this event are: Pus2meong, Shuuya, and SaintDemon. Thank you for your efforts, guys! XD
Anyway, here is a quick report of the event, composed by Pus2meong, with accompanying photos taken by him and Shuuya.
The venue for 5th ToyzMania 2012 is really far and there are no main road access there. Obviously, a bad traffic jam occured during the time of the event.
The event organizer seemed to be lacking there as we were promised to have the display case arrived on 4PM, but it came on a bit after 9PM instead. Even worse, we did not get any booth ID tags there.
During loading day, there was a rumor that Nendonesia’s booth space got replaced by another occupant. Due to this problem, I decided to race back to the venue from the printing shop, and that is the reason why the Nendonesia’s business cards only have the front side printed. Sorry about that, Nendonesian! XD
The display case is huge! It is about 3 times larger compared to what he had on AFAID 2012. That said, the booth space is about 33% smaller, so we were forced to change the booth setup here and there.
We got help from the kind folks of FIGMANIA as we teamed up to keep an eye to the display case and our promotional stuff there. Thanks, FIGMANIA! XD
Anyway, there were some female visitors who wanted to get all types of Nendonesia’s business cards, but they were hesitant because they thought they were not allowed to do so. Well, I said to them that they may do so, and they were overjoyed. XD
A few folks were also interested to the Wandering Fay photobook, but we did not prepare anything to do the sales, so I simply gave them the business cards and let them contact me later. XD
A few close-up shots …
Many photographers were visiting our booth there. Many cameras from mobile phones and DSLRs were pointed at our display case to capture the Nendoroids’ cuteness. XD
During the first day of the event, a group of photographers was suddenly gathering up at our booth. They were asking about Nendoroid Akemi Homura: School Uniform version. Since we only have the normal Mahou Shoujo version, we showed it to them. Some of them also mistook Nendoroid Aragaki Ayase and Nendoroid Noumi Kudryavka as Homura. XD
It turns out that they were students of a photography class and they were assigned by the lecturer to take photos of Nendoroid Akemi Homura: School Uniform version. So many DSLRs were spotted there.
In the end, the lecturer came to the booth as well, bringing the Nendoroid that the students had been looking for. It seems that the lecturer is also collecting Nendoroid! XD
Cosplayers were part of any anime/manga/figure related events, so naturally they also paid some visits to our booth.
It was less crowded compared to AFAID 2012. Not necessarily a bad thing though. XD

Well then, I guess that is all of our report on Nendonesia Showcase @ The 5th ToyzMania 2012. Thank you for the admins, contributors, FIGMANIA, StarSynergy as the event organizer, and you, Nendonesian, for your support to make our booth a success there!
See you again on our next events! XD
