Nendoroid Ignis – Has She been Cancelled?

If you have been following Nendoroid news since the early days, you should have known that Nendoroid Ignis from Jingai Makyou (a popular eroge around 2005) was among the first to have her design revealed, yet she has not been released so far.

Has her design been abandoned by GSC and NitroPlus? XD

The design for Nendoroid Ignis was revealed for the first time on 2006. She was displayed alongside Demonbane‘s Nendoroid Al-Azif, who was eventually released on 2008.

In 2010, Nendoroid Ignis‘ design made a surprising comeback alongside Nendoroid design of Rin, Kuro, and Mimi from Kodomo no Jikan as well as Miyafuji Yoshika from Strike Witches.

Faceplates and accessories were revealed in a hobby magazine

The expectation for Nendoroid Ignis‘ release got even greater when the hobby magazine scan revealed the optional faceplates and accessories to be included with the Nendoroid.

Unfortunately, that’s the last news we hear about Nendoroid Ignis. Yep, no official announcement about this Nendoroid was made since that day. Some folks even assumed that she has been cancelled. XD

Well, what do you think, Nendonesian? Do you expect this Nendoroid to be released in the future?

(Thanks, Yakumo!)

  1. Well she is probably not the 1st Nendoroid that never saw the light
with some research I did, I found the following

    Nendoroid Amiko (AmiAmi Mascot)

    Nendoroid Tokuko (Hobby Stock Mascot)

Also the Hyakka Ryouran girls they have had no news for a long time
and they where only Drawn Concepts also in Hobby Mag

And Hopefully not but Nendoroid Etna & Flonne has also been allong time

    Why GSC (Freeeing and Phat)
are doing this I dont know.

Ignis is very popular still and they could still release her and sell well

I dont get it why GSC would abandon Ignis because at the moment she is still very popular and would sell well enough.

But she is not the only Nendoroid that may never see the light
I found 2 others that share the same faith as her.

We also have heard nothing about Nendoroid Sanada Yukimura, Naoe Kanetsugu & Gotou Matabei from Hyakka Ryouran for some time.
And not to forget the prototypes from Flonne & Etna from Disgaea

    • Minzuki says:

I hope they don’t cancel Flonne and Etna.I hate it when they show a design for a new nendoroid and then decide not to go through with it.

  3. arachni42 says:

Yeah, I’m definitely hoping for Flonne and Etna… at least they had prototypes, albeit unpainted. Maybe they’re going to wait for Disgaea 5? 😛

    • arachni42 says:

Wow, that is not the emoticon I had in mind when I typed that. Looks way too happy. My actual emotion is more like *grumble*… oh well.

  4. Erald Coil says:

I hope not cancelled, I’d like one 😦 Also waiting on Feyris Nyan nyan from Steins gate….

  5. yakumotatsuko says:

Ive send a letter to Mikatan’s letter corner concerning certain Nendoroid on their status
Hope she or Kuroyagi-san will reply on it

  6. tini says:
