Custom Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magician version

We have already had several custom Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku previously, as such as the Knight version, Love is War version, as well as Zatsune Miku. Well, we have got another one to add: customized Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magician version.

In case you have no idea where this version of Miku came from, well, she is actually made based on the costume from PSP game Hatsune Miku: Project Diva, used in the “Miracle Paint” PV:

You can see all the pics after the break. ^^

(While we’re at it, do you remember the custom Nendoroid Megurine Luka: Witch version? XD)

I always wonder how people make these custom versions. Like what material are they using, and do the sculpt completely new parts? Perhaps Google sensai will impart it’s wisdom. 😛

Some people just repaint, some sculpt. I’ve been experimenting myself. I’ve worked with Sculpey (Sculpey III and Premo — Premo’s a lot more resilient). It’s easy to find in craft stores. I’ve recently been experimenting with Apoxie, an epoxy clay I had to order online. I believe most people sculpt on top of existing parts. For paint, I use acrylics, because that’s what I’m familiar with. I don’t know what other people use.

They just repaint existing nendoroid parts.
