Aside from Nendoroid Rin and Len: Cheerful version that has been available for pre-order since last week, it seems that Cheerful JAPAN project has another plan for another new figure to be part of the project. This time, GSC teams up with pixiv to hold Cheerful JAPAN feat. Hatsune Miku Illustration Contest. What is that?

Well, it is simply a contest in which participants will have to submit an original illustration of full-sized Hatsune Miku that has “cheerful” theme of the Cheerful JAPAN project. Yes, the entries may features expression, hairstyle, posing, and background up to the artists’ heart content. The first prize is the winning illustration would be made into (1) 1/8 scaled figure and (2) Nendoroid Petit. ^^

Is it open for international participants? The official contest page does not mention any of it, so international entries are supposed to be eligible to be submitted.

Well, what are you waiting for, Nendonesian? Time to get your paper and pencil (or tablet) and start drawing. ^^

  3. […] you recall the illustration contest for Cheerful Japan x Hatsune Miku that was announced last month? Yes, that collaboration project […]
