The cute detective from Tantei Opera Milky Holmes finally gets a review!! Yep, it is Nendoroid Sherlock Shellinford a.k.a Sharo a.k.a Sheryl, which is bundled as a limited edition pack with PSP game (and some other stuff). The set had been released back then on December 2010. ^^
OK, firstly I have a fun trivia about Sherlock’s name. Aside from having quite some aliases (Sharo, Syaro, Sheryl), her real/complete name is also slightly confusing. When I searched it on Google, her name turned out to be Sherlock Shellingford, but when I looked into her packaging box, her name is written as Sherlock Shellinford (notice the lack of ‘g‘ there). So, which one is her correct name? ^^
Note: For the remaining of this review, we are going to call her Sharo – short, simple, and sounds cute as well. ^^
Anyway, here is how her packaging looks like:
… and here is the box content:
Well, for 10,290 Yen, you get the whole bundle set, consists of the PSP game UMD, original soundtrack CD, Weiβ Schwarz trading cards, and Nendoroid Sherlock Shellinford (obviously! ^^).
Here is the complete listing of Sharo’s optional body parts and accessories:
- 4 faceplates (one attached)
- A total of 7 palms
- A total of 4 arms
- A removable hat
- A removable ribbon
- A removable muffler
- A magnifier
- A memo book
- A stand base
She is using a plug-in-back-hole stand base type. Here is how it looks like:
Fortunately, the hole in her back can be covered with her muffler/cape, so it is pretty much invisible in photo sessions. ^^
So, what is so special about Sharo? Here are some unique features of her:
First, the two ring-shaped hair attached on her back hair have rotating joints, so you could rotate or remove them as you wish. ^^
Sharo’s magnifier is really made of convex lens which is used to produce a magnified image of an object. It might not be too significant, but I am happy that GSC/Bushiroad is surely paying attention to such detail. ^^
Yep, you can also remove her muffler/cape to allow her hand to move more freely. Oh and her detective hat is also interchangable with the ribbon.
… and finally, her most charming point is … her expression (obviously)! (≧∇≦)/
She is simply too cute, isn’t she!? ヽ(´▽`)/
Anyway, let’s see how she befriend with her fellow Nendoroid friends as well as exchanging expression with each other. ^^
Rin: Whoa … so this is how a magnifier looks like. It’s super fun to play with it! >_<
Sharo: T______T
So … in conclusion, does Nendoroid Sherlock Shellinford (Sharo) really worth the 10,290 Yen price tag? Personally, I would say that her epic expressions are simply priceless. IMHO, any Nendoroid who use Sharo’s face plate(s) would turn into a super cute Nendoroid. Her boots are also useful to make her stand on her own – with some adjustment to her pose, obviously.
Well then, I think that’s all about it. Comments, questions, or anything about this review are welcome. ^^
See you again in my next review, Nendonesian! ^^
can I have her? haha just kidding XD
thx for your review it was fun to read as well as looking at the pictures 😉
She was my favorite Milky Holmes character her ring hair is so cute
AmiAmi had two of her in stock again this week, but she was too pricey for me 😦
this embarrase face is probably on of the best nendoroid faces out there.
Sharo looks so cute, but I like her the most with the ribbon on
Im also a big fan of this stand which was used for brs and saber, its solid and less brittle than these standswhich are holding the legs.
This week I saw that Gsc have another normal version of Sharo up their sleeves

I will probably buy this one when its available
btw do you own a psp?
Thanks! Glad you liked the review. ^^
BTW the only disadvantages of this type of stand is there would be a hole in the back of the Nendoroid, although in some cases they are invisible.
Nendoroid Sherlock Shellinford (Animation version) is already inside my wishlist as well.
Yes, I do own a PSP, but unfortunately, I have not tried the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes game yet. ^^
I love her eyes color! XD
Sparkling blue eyes? ^^
[…] ini barang rare.. ahaha dan gak mampu beli.. T T ini salah satu Review nya~.. Sumber : Nendoroid 122: Sherlock Shellinford (Sharo) | Nendonesia […]
She is super cute, I’m so happy I managed to get her. I’m having trouble with her face plates though… I haven’t listened to the CD yet, and I don’t have a PSP…
I’m so glad she has the good stand type, I hope GSC continues to make nendoroids with stands like Sharo, BRS, and Saber. I got Haruhi the day before, and she has the old base kind that just holds the legs… Please GSC, stop making these sorts of bases!!
I changed my mind about the other Sharo, I want that one too.
Two Sharos are definitely better than one. ^^
For 10k Yen with UMD,Nendoroid,TCG, and CD, I guess it does worth to get.
Yes, I think so. ^^
Woah….she is soooo cute!
I whish I could have her (together with the bundle) but it was too expensive for me *cry*
Nice review!
Thanks, glad you like the review! ^^
Yep, Sharo-chan did make quite a hole in my wallet, but I have no regret of
getting her. ^^
She is simply too adorable … ヽ(´▽`)/
how do you let your nendoroids stand without the base? I have my first and it won’t work haha 🙂
Well, actually there are 2 ways to do it:
The first one is adjusting the head, body, and the surface she is currently stepping – it is quite difficult, but not impossible. ^^
The second way is … well, adjust the camera angle and the lighting to make the stand-base invisible – I use this method for most photos in this review. ^^
I will try to make an article about it later. ^^
Super kawaii faceplate indeed…. It would be fun if Remilia used the embarrassed one and said “uuuuuuuuu…” so we can see her Charisma Break XDDD
Great imagination, explanation. summary, and pics! Nice review :3
Unfortunately … I don’t collect Nendoroid from Touhou Project. ^^;
Thanks! Glad you like the review. ^^

Sharo is adorable, isn’t she? By the way, is there a chance we can see a review for anime Sharo, Elsie, and Erio?
Yep, there will be a review for each of them soon. ^^
Oh my gosh! This version of Sharo is just too cute!
I want her so much but, I can never find this version of her! TT ___ TT
I don’t find the other version as cute or detailed as this one ..
Could I ask where you bought her? 😉
Or any online stores that might possibly have her?
Thanks!
This version of Sharo is actually the game version, and the Nendoroid was included with the limited edition of the PSP game. It was released on December 2010.
I got it from a local figure store. XD
I leave a response whenever I especially enjoy a article on a blog or I have something to contribute to the conversation. Usually it’s caused by the sincerness
communicated in the post I browsed. And after this article Nendoroid 122: Sherlock Shellinford (Sharo) Nendonesia.
I was moved enough to post a thought 🙂 I do have a couple of questions for you if it’s okay.
Is it only me or does it look like like some of the
remarks look like coming from brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing at additional online sites,
I would like to keep up with everything new you have to post.
Could you make a list the complete urls of all your
public sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
