Nendoroid Nankyoku Sakura from Penguin Musume Heart
Time for another Nendoroid review! This time, we are going to have an in-depth look into a classic series, Nendoroid Nankyoku Sakura. Although she was released back then in December 2008, this cute otaku girl from Penguin Musume Heart is the latest one to join my Nendoroid army – hence the review this time. Go on past the break to read my full review on Sakura-chan. ^^
Okay, for a price of 3500 Yen, Sakura-chan surely does not pack many stuff inside her container box. If you compare the amount of parts and accessories, she is clearly at disadvantages compared to, say, Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter or Nendoroid Amano Tooko, both of which have the same price tag.
Anyway, here is the complete listing of the parts and accessories:
- 3 face plates (one attached)
- 2 pair of hands (one attached)
- 2 pair of palms (one attached)
- One safety helmet
- One pickaxe
Let’s see a few pose of her and I let you justify whether she worths the price tag or not. ^^
You might wonder what safety helmet and pickaxe will be of any use to Sakura-chan. Actually, it is included so that you could recreate Penguin Musume Heart opening scene.
Now it’s time for her to meet her Nendoroid colleagues and (possibly) do some cross exchange with them …
I thought it would be a good idea to pair her with Jiei-tan, since they are both equipped with mining tools … but it seems like it turned out to be messed up there. ^^;
Do you think Sakura-chan have any relationship with Danbo? Are they sibling by any chance? ^^;
Isn’t she cute? The scene of Sakura-chan sitting on Tooko’s chair and reading the book is too adorable … =^^=
Uh-oh! Tooko does not look particularly happy about Sakura-chan sitting on her favorite chair …
Sakura-chan is speechless when she looks at Tooko-chan’s scary youkai face. Run, Sakura-chan! Run! x_x
Nooooo!!! Sakura-chan!!! It was too late … Sakura-chan has already been ***** by Tooko-chan … T____T
——
How about it, Nendonesian? Do you think Sakura-chan worth 3500 Yen? Personally, I say that her moe-ness is her main charm point, so it is okay to have her for 3500 Yen, though I doubt that you can grab her at that price due to her rareness lately. ^^;
Well, see you again in my next review, Nendonesian! ^^
nice review =)
I loved the Penguin Musume Heart anime show.
Sakura Nendoroid is so cute and nice I like the mining equipment a lot 🙂
her head looks great on Tooko’s body especially in this http://www.flickr.com/photos/bakaotaku/5213737893/ nice picture.
Is the tip atthe end of her hair moveable?
Glad you liked the review. ^^
The mining equipment is so unique that you could not find it from other
Nendoroids. ^^
Isn’t she adorable in Tooko’s body? 😀
Yep, the tip of her hair is removable – as well as the tail at the end of
her hair.

thx for the helpful info =)
I checked that I could get her for 4549 yen which is ok in my currency
You’re welcome. ^^
Wow … that’s a bargain – considering how rare she is nowadays. ^^;
Hopefully you could play with her soon – and maybe post some photos to our
Flickr group. =)
daman.. another poison ;_;
I bought this one a while ago, she’s absolutely too cute. Her simplicity is a selling point (although you’re right, she is getting pretty rare now..). You can also pose her with her pick ax behind her back like she’s plotting something devious. It’s kind of hard to get her in the position, but it looks pretty cute. Maybe I’ll take a picture of it someday…
I love the picture of her with Danbo and the one of Tooko after she’s eaten Sakura. hahaha
“Her simplicity is a selling point” – Agreed. ^^
Ah … maybe I should try that pose later, thanks for the suggestion!
One of the reason I purchased Sakura was because of her Danbo-like expression. ^^;
Tooko seems dangerously cute, doesn’t she? ^^;
