Nendoroid 144: Kuroneko

Nendoroid Kuroneko

Nendoroid Kuroneko

When I watched Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (a.k.a Oreimo), I find that Kuroneko left me a strong impression of her personality and habits, compared to the main heroine, Kousaka Kirino, although they are both tsundere. In fact, Kuroneko is my favorite character from Oreimo, despite her role as merely a supporting character in the series. ^^

Now that GSC has made Nendoroid Kuroneko, let’s find out how they present her look and feel in the Nendoroid rendetion. ^^

I have just spent about an hour playing with the Nendoroid Planet app on my iPhone 3GS. Generally, the app is pretty solid, although I did get a few crashes sometimes – I guess the app is intended to work optimally on iPhone 4. Anyway, here are the requirements:

Store: iTunes App Store Japan
Hardware: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch (3rd Gen), iPod Touch (4th Gen)
Operating system: iOS 4.1 or newer
File size: 145 MB

So … how did it go? Read on. ^^

Nendoroid Noumi Kudryavka: Summer Clothes version

Nendoroid Noumi Kudryavka: Summer Clothes version

Did you know that the pre-order for Nendoroid Noumi Kudryavka: Summer Uniform version had been available since August 2010? That’s about 9 months ago, and she has just been released early this month  (May 2011). Yes, she sets the record of being Nendoroid with the longest duration between pre-order and actual release date. ^^;

Nendoroid 137: Date Masamune

Nendoroid Date Masamune

Nendoroid Date Masamune

“The One-Eyed Dragon is not just for show, you see?”

For you who are familiar with anime/game series Sengoku BASARA, you should recognize this quote from the legendary samurai from the Clan of Date. Well, before we get into our review of Nendoroid Date Masamune, we will dig a little into his profile first. Note that Nendoroid Date Masamune is based of the design from Capcom’s Sengoku BASARA, so it might not reflect the actual facts of the real person. ^^

Nendoroid 129: Hatsune Miku – Absolute HMO Edition

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition

Before we get into the review, let’s see a little background info concerning where the term “HMO” came from. Firstly, HMO was initially used by a composer nicknamed “HMO tokanonakanohito“. He is a composer of Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO), a leading Japanese electropop band. He released a music CD titled “Hatsune Miku Orchestra” with an illustration of Hatsune Miku (drawn by manga artist Kuu) at the jacket. Here’s how it looks like:

This version of Hatsune Miku design is gaining popularity in Miku fandom, so it is only natural for her to get a Nendoroid rendetion by GSC, officially titled: Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition. ^^

Now that you know (at least a little) about HMO, let’s dive directly into the review, shall we? ^^

Nendoroid 128: Dead Master

Nendoroid Dead Master

Nendoroid Dead Master

You may wonder why I do a review of Nendoroid Dead Master (DM) now. Yes, she is supposed to be getting a review right after Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version, but I reviewed Nendoroid Kousaka Kirino instead. ^^;

Actually, I have finished taking the review photos back then on February, but I did not quite satisfied with the results. Within this time frame, Nendoroud Kousaka Kirino was released, and I felt really tempted to review her first. After I finished with Kirino’s review, I decided to have another photo session with DM and a diorama set to complete my review photo collection. ^^

OK, enough with the chit-chat, let’s dive directly into the review, shall we? ^^

Nendoroid 142: Kousaka Kirino

Nendoroid Kousaka Kirino

Nendoroid Kousaka Kirino

Note: I was supposed to post a review of Nendoroid Dead Master, but I can no longer hold the urge to write a review on this cute Nendoroid, so I decided to put this review up first. I apologize for the confusion. ^^;

Yay! The Nendoroid rendetion of popular tsundere imouto Kousaka Kirino is finally here for review session! Nendoroid Kousaka Kirino was released at the end of last month. You have gotten her? Good, because since then, she has become increasingly difficult to find in the market. I guess GSC’s production capacity simply could not meet the demand of Nendoroid fans for the cute little sister. ^^;

In any case, go past the break to get into the review of Nendoroid Kousaka Kirino. ^^

Nendoroid 150: Snow Miku – Tanoshii Yukiasobi Edition (Special Review)

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition

OK, before we get into the review, allow me to explain what this “Special Review” is all about. A special review is a review which is created either by request, occassional condition, or used for unusual purposes, including reviews written by guest authors.

Regarding our first special review here for Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition (Tanoshii Yukiasobi Edition), it is requested personally by Stephen A.Q. He asked me to take photos and review his newly arrived snow fairy, because he couldn’t wait to unbox it and wanted to “record” the unboxing moment in a form of a review – I know he did have other purposes for this as well. ( ̄▽ ̄)

In any case, slide past the break to view the complete review. ^^

Nendoroid 149: Makise Kurisu – Hakui version

Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version

Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version

It might be a little weird, but I actually had Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version (released at WonFes on early February) arrived on my desk and I am still waiting for the normal Nendoroid Makise Kurisu (released on late January). Well, that is not a problem for me though, because both version of Makise Kurisu are equally cute. ^^

Anyway, let’s have a brief introduction for Makise Kurisu. She is the main heroine of Steins;Gate, a visual novel game released for Xbox 360 (2009) and PC (2010). She is an extremely talented neuroscience researcher and it is proved with her being able to have her research published in the science academic journal at the young age of 18. Whoa … she is really smart, isn’t she? Plus, she is actually a tsundere as well … what a perfect combination! ^^

Well then, without further ado, let’s get on the actual review of Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version. ^^
